If you would like to know what it feels like to step outside the front door, walk along the riverside and wander through a huge woodland nature reserve then book a holiday at our luxury holiday cottage in the heart of the Tamar Valley on the Devon and Cornwall border just 8 miles from Tavistock and 12 miles from Launceston.
We know ourselves what it feels like to want to escape a busy city or town life and that sometimes we just need to slow down a gear and appreciate the peace, tranquillity and fresh air of the countryside - with all the luxuries that you are perhaps accustomed to of course!
We know because that is us - sometimes more days than we wish to think about. and so we decided to set on a journey to find that very special retreat, escape, heaven, call it what you like!
Five years down the line we finally found Greenscombe House - a former Duchy farmhouse on the edge of a popular Tamar Valley village on the border of Devon and Cornwall along a no-through road with incredible countryside views overlooking the River Tamar.
So, no matter how hectic life is, staying at Greenscombe will give you the chance to step back and be thankful for what is important in life.
Greenscombe House luxury holiday cottage is a place where you can relax - from listening to music and sharing a bottle of wine with loved ones and friends to taking part in your children's games in the gardens, or drinking coffee and reading the newspapers on a sunny morning.
But remember! Just because you are in the middle of the Tamar Valley countryside you don't have to skimp on the finer things in life - Greenscombe House is full of character and charm yet has all the luxuries you would expect from a quality country holiday cottage.
